Becky Harrison (Principal/Teacher)
Becky started training under the BATD syllabus in all styles of dance at the age of the 2 and by the age of 5 she was performing at the Royal Albert Hall. From the age of 7 she was regularly appearing in the juvenile ensemble for Evolution productions at the Marlowe Theatre and went on to perform in many prestigious theatres and shows growing up. She trained at local musical theatre schools alongside heavy traditional dance training, including taking RAD ballet examinations alongside BATD in all disciplines. She started teaching for Project Dance at the age of 14, and went on to teach for them until they closed in 2017, within this time she was privileged enough to teach hundreds of children that passed through, of all ages and abilities, and choreographed for many shows, including for Sadler's Wells Theatre and a 50 child production for the Royal Albert Hall shortly before their closing. She continued to enhance her own training through attending regular professional classes at top London studios, particularly excelling in tap and jazz and performing regularly in productions and events in these disciplines. She also began teaching both ballet and tap for Hasland Dance Studios in Herne Bay. Becky also has a masters degree in Psychology, and a bachelors degree in Education and is passionate about providing equal opportunities for all children, and offering a supportive and healthy environment within which children can dance. Becky has also trained through Acrotrix to offer and deliver their safe, child centred approach to Acrobatics training for children. She is passionate about dance and choreography, and about unlocking the potential in each child and providing them with opportunities, support, inspiration and fun.
